This watch, it’s somethin’ else. They call it the OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon”. Sounds fancy, huh? Heard it’s for sale in them specialty stores. I reckon it’s one of them expensive ones, for rich folks, you know?
They say it’s ’bout some space thing, Apollo 8. Long time ago, bunch of fellas went up in a rocket, went around the moon. See, this here watch, it’s got somethin’ to do with that. They say it’s the “Dark Side of the Moon,” like that’s somethin’ special. I reckon it’s dark cause the sun ain’t shinin’ on it.
Big Deal ‘Bout the Moon
These astronauts, the first ones to see the other side of the moon. Frank somethin’, James somethin’, and William somethin’. Can’t keep all them names straight. Four thousand dollars! That’s more than my old car cost! And that car, it got me around. Took me to town, took me to see my sister, took me to the doctor when I was feelin’ poorly. This Apollo 8 watch, they’re makin’ a big fuss ’bout it now. Came out in January, they say. New and improved, whatever that means. Got all the fancy words for it, too. OMEGA Speedmaster, Dark Side of the Moon, Apollo 8. Like I said, fancy. It is for selling in the specialty stores.
They say it’s to remember that Apollo 8 mission. Fifty years, it’s been. Fifty years since them fellas went up to the moon. Time sure does fly, don’t it? Seems like just yesterday I was a young girl, chasin’ chickens ’round the yard. Now look at me, talkin’ ’bout space and Copy OMEGA Speedmaster watches and specialty stores.

Don’t Need No Fancy Watch
Me, I don’t need no fancy watch to remember. I got my memories, right here in my head. And I got my stories, to tell anyone who’ll listen. Don’t need no thousands of dollars Copy OMEGA watch from specialty stores to tell me what time it is, or what happened fifty years ago.
