So, I was looking for something new, you know? Something fancy but not too flashy. That’s when I saw it – the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. What a name, right? Sounds like something special, and let me tell you, it kinda is.
First, I started digging around, trying to find out more about this bag. I found out that this “YSL” is some famous designer, Yves Saint Laurent. Apparently, he made a whole bunch of stuff, not just bags. But this bag, it’s got this old-timey look, but it’s also kinda new. They call it “vintage” and “modern” at the same time. Whatever that means. But yeah, It is a classic style.
I went to their fancy online store – they call it the “official flagship store.” It’s all sleek and shiny, just like the little “YSL” logo they put on the front of the bag. They had all these pictures of the bag. It’s a box, I mean, it is called “JUNE BOX”, made of this soft, all quilted up leather they say it is lambskin. And there’s this shiny YSL thing on the front, they call it “CASSANDRE.”
- Decided to remake the bag: Looked real sturdy, like it would last forever. So, I thought, why not? Let’s try to make one myself.
- Gathered materials: I got some leather, not sure if it’s lambskin, but it’s soft. And I found some shiny metal pieces that kinda look like that YSL thing. I even got a box and some soft cloth to make it all fancy like they do.
- Started crafting: This was the hard part. I cut the leather, stitched it up, trying to make it look like a box. It wasn’t perfect, but it was starting to look like a bag.
- Added the “CASSANDRE”: I tried to make my own version of that shiny YSL logo. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s got that same vibe. I attached it to the front flap, just like the real one. It’s got this “pivoting closure,” which is a fancy way of saying it swivels open.
- Finished the bag: After a lot of work, the bag was finally done. It’s not a perfect copy, but it’s my version of the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. And I think I made it pretty good, they say it is “diamond-quilted”, I think mine too.
I put the bag in the box, wrapped it in the soft cloth, just like they do in the store. It felt kinda special, like I made something valuable. Not sure if it’s worth a million bucks, like they say, but it’s my own little piece of luxury. They even got this “bronze-toned hardware” and say you can enjoy a “COMPLIMENTARY EXPRESS SHIPPING”. Well, I don’t really care about these.
So, that’s my story of remaking the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot along the way. Maybe I’ll try making another one someday. But for now, I’m just gonna enjoy my new bag. It’s not a real YSL, but it’s mine, and that’s what matters.
